Export Credit Norway’s digital application solution provides a quick and easy way to apply for financing. The solution is available around the clock, and the process only takes a short time to complete. “Previously, we received applications from exporters and purchasers seeking financing by email. The digital solution has simplified and standardised the application process, allowing us to give customers feedback far more quickly,” says Export Credit Norway Director of Lending Olav Einar Rygg.

Sales argument

Export Credit Norway makes loans to purchasers of Norwegian goods and/or services. A financing offer from the company can be a strong sales argument in the dialogue with a potential customer. Either the supplier/exporter or the purchaser may apply. The application process and any financing offer are provided free of charge.

Olav Einar Rygg, utlånsdirektør for maritime næringer i Eksportkreditt Norge, forteller at den nye lovendringen er etterlengtet av bransjen.

All you need to do is visit Export Credit Norway’s website and click on “Apply now”. The first step is to select the type of financing – export financing or ship financing for ships to be deployed in Norway. You can then click through the application form, providing details such as the supplier, purchaser and social responsibility information and completing various declarations. The final step is to sign and submit the contract – electronically of course.

Joint application

“The major advantage of the solution is that applicants use the same form to apply for both financing from Export Credit Norway and a guarantee from GIEK when a contract is valued at less than NOK 100 million. This is clearly a more efficient approach. We know that our customers often need quick answers, and this solution helps to provide these,” explains Rygg.
