Including the developing countries scheme, the building loan scheme and the power purchase scheme, GIEK's total guarantee frame amounts to just over 173 billion NOK.
The letter of allocation notifies GIEK of the Storting's budget resolution and the Norwegian Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries' guidelines for 2014.
More efficient
In 2014, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries wishes to "reduce and remove time thieves in the government administration", in other words make the management more efficient.
– We at GIEK accept the challenge, and look forward to contribute with input, says Wenche Nistad, CEO at GIEK.
An efficient state is important for a country's competitiveness.
– The high level of costs in our country means that we have to be best in all aspects, she adds.
