Eksfin provides 1 billion NOK in financing of Norwegian exports to the Greater Changhua Offshore Wind Farms in Taiwan

The Danish company Ørsted, one of the world’s leading offshore wind developers, has purchased installation and technology services from Norwegian companies Solstad Offshore, Fred. Olsen Windcarrier, Framo, and Glamox for the Greater Changhua Offshore Wind Farms project in Taiwan. The services have already been delivered to the project. Eksfin and Credit Agricole are financing four high-tech offshore wind vessels

The company Windward Offshore, which is based in Germany, has ordered four advanced offshore wind vessels from Vard. Two of the ships are built at Vard Brattvåg in Norway, while two ships will be delivered from Vard Vung Tau in Vietnam. Eksfin is loan financing the four ships in collaboration with the bank Credit Agricole. For the ships that are built in Vietnam, Norwegian maritime equipment deliveries are the basis for Eksfin's participation. Read More

Eksfin provides EUR 180min loan guarantees backing Seaway 7 cable installation at huge offshore wind park in Taiwan

State-backed export credit agency Export Finance Norway (Eksfin) provides NOK 2bn (EUR 180m) in loan financing to the Hai Long wind park in the Taiwan Strait on the back of services rendered by Seaway 7. The transaction increases Eksfin’s total financing commitment to the global offshore wind market towards EUR 2,6 billion. Joint-venture Hai Long development partners Northland Power Inc. of Canada and Japan’s Mitsui & Co.,Ltd. won construction approval for the project in March this year. Situated between 45 and 70 kilometres off Taiwan’s Changhua coast, on completion the 1 gigawatt (GW) offshore wind park will be the largest in Taiwan with capacity to supply clean energy to more than one million households. Full commercial operation is expected in 2026/2027, with energy supplied according to power purchase agreements already in place. Read More
